Our Spring zooplus Charity Partner: Freshfields Animal Rescue

Freshfields is an animal rescue charity whose core purpose is the rescue and re-homing of abused, neglected and injured animals.  The charity has two centres; one in Liverpool and another in Caernarfon, North Wales. Every year Freshfields helps rescue and rehome well in excess of 1,200 animals and birds.

Freshfields‘ scope includes wildlife and neglected farm animals as well as domestic pets. At any one time the charity’s centres can be home to 250 cats and kittens, 60 dogs, 120 farm animals including ducks and chickens, 30 horses and ponies and 250 small animals, birds and wildlife. The charity estimates that each animal that they take in costs  approximately £408 during its stay, including basic needs such as food and shelter, as well as veterinary care and rehabilitation, before it can be safely re-homed.

From now until end of April 2015, you can  help Freshfields Animal Rescue either by  donating your zooPlusPoints or by buying our zoolove products. Please visit our charity page for more details.  This will be greatly appreciated by Freshfields and of course by all of the animals in their care!
